Optional jump - Height is around 130 feet. I highly recommend that you do this jump. This is where your money goes! |
I highly doubt that you haven't heard anything about
Cebu Canyoneering. It's already a very famous outdoor activity. This type of adventure is really new to me. It involves a lot of cliff diving and I really don't have much experience diving or jumping off from cliffs. So I decided to go with Yves and his friends (joiners lang ako) and try this one of a kind outdoor activity.
How to get there: Cebu to Badian
Yes malayo! It's going to be a 3 hour bus ride from Cebu City to Badian |
Bus ride (P147 one way: Ceres Bus) Air-conditioned
Bus. You have to leave early! I recommend leaving 5:00AM at most so by
8:00AM, you will arrive at your destination.
With Mamu, holding my go pro and with the rest of the team. |
Bus stopover. You can buy snacks at 7-11 |
Badian is still an hour away. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the trip! :)
Arrival at Badian:
Getting geared up! |
We arrived at Badian by 8:00AM. I immediately grabbed my gears (para makapag picture agad). From here, you have to ride a motorcyle going to the registration area.
Daming tao! |
Once registered, you will be then taken by the motorcycle to the drop off point. From there, hiking starts.
First Jump:
Unang talon palang mataas na! |
First jump is relatively easy. If you are scared, you can take another route (sa gilid) so this jump is not mandatory.
Optional Jump:
The optional jump, twice as high as the first jump. I recommend you to do this optional jump! |
No filter! What you see is what you really see in person! |
You will do a lot of walking and jumping. Talon na yan! |
Group picture! |
Talon nanaman! |
Another group picture, |
Stalactites! This might be a former cave. |
#nofilter. Ganyan talaga ang kulay ng tubig. |
Minor jump. |
Diba ang ganda? |
Amazing rock formations. |
Canyoneering is really fun! |
The water is crystal clear. |
Giant log. Kelan kaya ito natumba. |
Food! You can buy snacks along the trail! Amazing. Kahit saan may business talaga! |
It's time for the running jump. You have to run as fast as you can then jump, or else you will hit the rocks below. |
Weeeeeh! Ang saya! |
Final Jump: 100+ feet!
The final jump is a 100 to 135 feet drop. Awesome! Don't be scared, this jump is optional. Either you do this or take the walk of shame, so you choose haha!
Jumping is really easy. Just do it! |
This jump lasted like 5 seconds! Grabe sa feeling! |
